 Do you ever think about kids with no presents for the holidays? Or with no toys at all? Think about kids who can’t afford good presents. That’s where BCE comes in. For 10 years, Barton Creek has worked with Blue Santa a non-profit organization for kids who don’t get presents over the holidays. 5th grade students and Mrs. Poole set-up boxes outside of everyone’s classroom. They ask kids and families to bring brand new toys and put them in the boxes. They also encourage kids to donate by doing fun competitions like a dance party or an hour of STEAM time with the Joy Drive committee that you earn from the most toys or reach their class goals first.
